Tiago Sá da Costa is a Portuguese artist and designer, with his studio is currently based in Amsterdam North, in the ‘Kunststad'(Art city) an artistic breeding ground at the NDSM werf.

Much of Tiago’s work has been exploring the functional uses and physical and aesthetic boundaries of different materials, including steel, cork, brass, wood, among others. He combines materiality with form and light to create atmospheres that aim to incite wonder and comfort. His work has been exhibited in New York, Berlin, Milan, Eindhoven, Barcelona, Venice, Lisbon and other cities.

Besides his original work, Tiago also collaborates with other artists and designers in a production level, helping their ideas come to live. For the past 12 years, Tiago has worked with various designers as Maarten Baas, DHPH and Joris Laarman, where he has been involved in projects for the Rijksmuseum, Groningermuseum, Swarovski and Louis Vuitton.

Tiago started his career in Lisbon, where he studied at the Lisbon Fine Arts University (FBAUL).
